All of our products are made by hand in Vancouver, BC by the Kismet Design team.
While some components—like electrical cords—are sourced externally, the design, woodworking, and final assembly are all done in-house with a focus on quality and detail.
You may come across imitation products online. These are not affiliated with us and don’t reflect the standards or care behind our original Rocketlamp.
We are a Vancouver-based design studio specializing in mid-century modern and Scandinavian-inspired home décor.
We offer a 30-day return and exchange policy. Items must be returned in their original condition within 30 days of receiving it from shipping provider. Item must be returned exactly as it was packaged.
We offer a 3 month manufacturers warranty on our items. If any problems should occur, we will replace the problem components or items. For communication around warranty, please email ivan@bykismet.ca

The Kismet Design Rocketlamp is an original design created by Ivan in 2023 and is exclusively available through our official store. While the design has unfortunately been imitated by unlicensed manufacturers, none of these copies reflect the quality, materials, or craftsmanship that define our products.
If you come across a similar-looking lamp—especially one mass-produced overseas—it is not affiliated with us in any way.
The Kismet Design Rocketlamp was created by Ivan in 2023.
While the design takes inspiration from the general tripod form seen in vintage pieces like the 1970 Novoplast Rocketlamp, this is a fully original interpretation with its own distinct proportions, materials, and aesthetic.
We ship products immediately after processing the order. This may usually takes around 2 - 7 business days.
During higher volume periods, we may require more time to process your order. We will reach out to you if this is the case.
We use a special food-safe oil & wax top coat on our wood. It's called "Odies Universal Oil" and is one of the most enviromentally safe and non-toxic products on the market.
We take great care in packaging, but if your lamp arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours with photos, and we’ll arrange a replacement.
We currently operate online only. Our workshop is located off Main St. & 5th Ave. in Vancouver, Canada.
Our lamps are rated for LED lightbulbs (E26 and E27 in EU). We recommend you use a "vintage" style Edison bulb.
Yes. We can order and change the plug so that the lamp works in your country. please include a note with your order and let us know what kind of plug you need.
